Physical well-being

Students at the International University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld have designed a 24-kilometre cycle tour through Bielefeld. The route takes you past the city's most important sights and invites you to stop off at cafes, restaurants and bars along the way.

If you also want to cycle the tour through Bielefeld, you need to download the free "Outdooractive" app and add the following link in the app under Tours.

Sitting still for hours on end is unhealthy - it has a negative effect on our bodies and can cause tension in the back, neck and shoulders, for example. It also affects our mental state, for example it can make us tired and make it difficult to concentrate.

In the summer semester 2024, we are therefore making our new "The healthy seminar room" boxes available for the first time - these are two small cabinets (easy to transport in the university building thanks to castors and pull handles) that are filled to the brim with various utensils to support long sitting sessions. The boxes can be borrowed for use in work and study and can be used, for example, by teaching staff in block seminars or by consultants in further training courses - if you are interested, simply contact: campusinbalance@uni-bielefeld.de
