Access to the BIS for applicants
Registration for applicants
Applicants log in to the application and status portal with their user ID and password.
Applicants* who are not yet enrolled:
- View the status of the application
- Application for combined Bachelor's degree with restricted admission
- Application for admission-restricted 1-Subject Bachelor with single majorand first law examination (via hochschulstart.de)
- Enrollment for admission-free 1-Subject Bachelor or completely admission-free Combi-Bachelor

Lost access data for the application
- Die Benutzerkennung wurde Ihnen mit der Willkommens-Email zugesandt. Achten Sie hier auf die vollständige Kleinschreibung!
- Sollten Sie Ihr Passwort vergessen haben, können Sie hier ein neues Passwort anfordern.
- Bewerber*innen-Accounts des Bewerbungsportals der Uni Bielefeld sind nur für das jeweilige Verfahren gültig. Bewerber*innen-Accounts vergangener Semester sind gelöscht.
- Sollten Sie entgegen der Hinweise versucht haben, sich in der aktuellen Bewerbungsphase mehrfach zu registrieren, können Sie hier Ihren ersten Account entsperren.
- Sie sind bereits an der Universität Bielefeld eingeschrieben? Dann nutzen Sie zur Anmeldung bitte diesen Link.
Sollten Sie trotz Beachtung aller genannten Punkte Schwierigkeiten mit dem Login haben, wenden Sie sich gerne direkt an das Studierendensekretariat.
An error occurred during registration
You received the following error message while validating your application account:
"An error occurred during registration with ID 1.000.123.456. Find out here about the further procedure."
Solution:
During validation, it was determined that you were enrolled until recently and only de-registered within the last few months.
Your matriculation login is still valid, so please do not register as an applicant, but log in as a "student" with your still valid login data. For your application, go to "Courses offered" and then "Application" in the application portal to submit your application.
