On 7 November 2024, Students for Future hosted a sewing café for the second time. There were opportunities to repair your own clothes in two rooms. Three sewing machines, fabric remnants and all kinds of sewing accessories were made available in the first room. In the second room, the focus was on sewing by hand. There was embroidery thread, for example, to mend holes. There were around 20-25 participants with a wide variety of projects. Projects included shortening trousers and skirts, mending holes in trousers, T-shirts and shirts, sewing pockets back onto jumpers and upcycling two pairs of trousers by sewing them together. As with the first Climate Café in the summer semester 2024, the event received a lot of positive feedback from the participants. Due to the great response, Students for Future Bielefeld is planning to offer the sewing café regularly in future.
