Set up WLAN under Android

We recommend using the geteduroam app to directly preset all the required and current configuration settings. Otherwise, use these instructions for manual configuration.

Note:
Terms and menus may differ from these instructions depending on the Android version and device.

Step 1: Download certificate

1.

In the first step, the root certificate "HARICA TLS RSA Root CA 2021" must be installed on the corresponding device. The following link must be called up on the Android device:
harica-rsa-server-root-2021.cer

2.

Switch to certificate installation in the Android settings (e.g. via Security > Additional security settings > Encryption & credentials > Install a certificate).

Select WLAN certificate there.

3.

Open the downloaded file harica-rsa-server-root-2021.cer.

4.

The certificate must then be named.

Certificate name:
-> Harica eduroam

Click OK to finalise the installation.

Step 2: Configure WLAN

1.

First call up the settings for WLAN via "Settings > Wireless and networks > WLAN".

2.

WLAN must first be activated so that the available networks are displayed.

The connection to the campus network is established via the "eduroam" network. After selecting this entry, the following configuration window appears.

3.

These settings must be made.

Security:
-> WPA/WPA2-Enterprise

EAP method:
-> PEAP

Phase 2 authentication:
-> MSCHAPV2

Then confirm via"Back" or Connect / Save.
