Reporting study requirements

Study requirements are study activities that serve to assess the acquisition of competences in a module, but which have a smaller scope than examinations such as written examinations, seminar papers or similar. The type and scope of the study requirements / credits are specified in the respective module guide.

"Completed" is the equivalent of study requirements for Erasmus students. Technically, it is also possible for students with guest access or students in the "Studying from 50" programme to book a "completed" credit.

If you have already kept your own list for recording study requirements / credits, you can import it via Participation Management. All you need is a list of the matriculation numbers of the students in question.

Study requirements / credits are automatically preselected for students who are brought into the system in this way. On the mass booking page, you can then generate draft assessments for all students with one click and send them to the examination office on the next page.

Participation management can be accessed via the My courses page in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv).

Reporting of individual achievements

You can only ever select the types of coursework that are planned for your course in accordance with the module guide. This is controlled by the subject assignments in the electronic course catalogue (eKVV).

If you are of the opinion that the subject assignments in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv) have not been shown correctly, please contact your electronic course catalogue (ekvv) officer to make any corrections. The relevant contact details are displayed directly on the benefit notification forms under "Notes".

You will not find any study requirements in the list of possible credit types, as these can only be recorded via the bulk booking pages.

You can access the two different booking options via the page under "Exam results: Booking"

Import of result lists

Your list must have the following column sequence:

  • Matriculation number: The matriculation number must be present in all cases and must come first.
  • Credit points: The column with the credit points remains empty in the vast majority of cases because these are automatically added for BA and MA students in the BIS examination management system. Nevertheless, an empty column must be copied into the table.
  • Grading: The grading can be entered after the column with the credit points. The normal grade values or the texts 'passed' and 'failed' are permitted here. If the grading is missing, 'passed' is always entered.
  • Subject/title: A title/topic text can be entered in the penultimate column.
  • Additional text: Finally, an additional text can be entered in the last column.

Other columns such as names and performance types are not necessary and must not be copied into the import field!

Study requirements / credits can only be entered via the mass booking page provided for this purpose.

If you have already created a list of matriculation numbers for the study requirements / credits and would like to use these for the booking, you can do this via Participation Management (see above).

You can only report bundles of similar academic achievements via import. If you need to book many different service types, booking individual services via the service list may be the better alternative.

The import only allows the types of credits that are defined for the individual student by the study regulations. This check is carried out using the subject assignments for the course in the electronic course catalogue (eKVV).

If you are of the opinion that the subject assignments in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv) have not been shown correctly, please contact your electronic course catalogue (ekvv) officer to make any necessary corrections. The relevant contact details are displayed directly on the benefit notification forms under "Notes".
