Connections to Bielefeld University via VPN can only be established using the VPN software Secure Client from Cisco. Its configuration is described below for iOS.

1.

Open the App Store to serach and download Cisco Secure Client there.

2.

Go to Search and enter the term Cisco Secure Client. Select this from the search results and download/install (open).

3.

After the app is installed, open AnyConnect.

4.

Click here on No connections.

5.

Select Add VPN connection.

6.

Enter the server address:

vpn-gate-1.uni-bielefeld.de

After that go to Save.

7.

Confirm this message with Allow.

8.

Enter your BITS login name and password when establishing the VPN connection. More information about the access data here.

Then click on Connect.
