Academic achievements besides BA/MA
The performance notification in the electronic course catalogue (ekvv) is geared towards the degree programmes in the "2011 study model", which are currently the BA/MA degree programmes and medicine/state examinations(ination).
However, there are also courses offered or occasions for which a different form of performance reporting is provided.
The starting point for teaching staff, instructors, lectures and their secretary's offices is the page
The degree programme "Law/State exam(ination)" does not provide for the provision of study requirements / credits, which is why you will not find an option to report credits there.
A separate import field has been set up for the reporting of examination achievements, which can accommodate the special form of grading in this degree programme. As of today (February 2022), it is not possible to report examinations as individual achievements.
For courses that have a subject assignment in this degree programme, a separate item "To import credits for the state exam(ination) in Law" is displayed under the link "Credit booking" -> "Import".
In order to be able to import academic achievements, they should ideally be available in the form of an Excel table. To create this table, you can export the course attendance list and edit it accordingly (we have described on this page what you need to bear in mind).
The following columns must be present in the table in exactly this order (you may have to reorder the columns in the table):
Other columns such as names and performance types are not necessary and must not be copied into the import field!
First select the service type and the date on which the service was provided in the import window.
Select the necessary columns in the table and copy them into the large text field on this page. If the table contains different service types, you must import these in several steps. Only one benefit type can be used at a time during an import.
If you click the "Import" button, you will receive a preview of the data records to be imported in the next step, as well as a list of any data that was not imported because it is incorrect. You can then finalise the import and then correct the data records that cannot be imported. The imported data is now sent to the relevant examination office. You can view the status of all credit bookings for a course under the "Credit list" action item.
The data that cannot be imported may also include matriculation numbers that only have a Bachelor's enrolment. For these students, the template must be adapted slightly and the link "To import credits" is selected on the booking page for the import.
Students of the BA "Law and Management" who do not have an additional enrolment in the state exam(ination) in Law can be entered via the normal "Import field". The prepared Excel table must have a slightly different format (see screenshot):
In certain cases, the BIS examination management system should also be used to document academic achievements or participation in courses by students who are not enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme. ERASMUS students are one example.
On the page for the report of study requirements / credits, an additional option is offered specifically for these students to report a ''Completed'' achievement. Such ''Completed'' academic achievements must be assigned a number of credit points and can be documented in a semester-related transcript when the student leaves the university. In addition to the registration of "completed" academic achievements, it is also possible to use the function for booking individual achievements. Here, students can book academic achievements that are also intended for other participants in the course, provided that this is justified in terms of content.
When registering academic achievements for ERASMUS students, please note that they must provide their academic achievements as part of a "Learning Agreement". Information on the Learning Agreement can be found on the website of the International Office
Doctoral students are also offered the opportunity to register a "completed" academic achievement. There is a special feature here: depending on the doctorate/Phd studies, it may or may not be mandatory to report LPs with the academic achievements. The electronic course catalogue (ekvv) therefore makes a distinction depending on enrolment:
