Animal Husbandry Building of the Faculty of Biology and the Medical School OWL

The new building R7 will serve as a New Extension for the current Behavioural Biology building of the Faculty of Biology and will also be used for medical research in the future. Capacities for housing animals will be created on around 3,200 square metres of floor space. The building is being constructed in the second row behind the current Behavioural Research Building, which is to be converted in future as Building R8 into another central research building for the Faculty of Medicine.

Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2023. After approximately two and a half years of construction, Building R7 should be completed in autumn 2025.
